Specialized Training for Diagnostic and Clinical Careers
Our Clinical and Laboratory courses will prepare students for essential roles in disease diagnosis, treatment support, and patient care. These programmes combine theoretical foundations with hands-on practical training, equipping graduates with the skills needed to work in hospital laboratories, pharmacy departments, radiology units, and clinical settings. From specimen analysis to medical imaging and clinical diagnosis, each course addresses critical gaps in Uganda’s healthcare delivery system.
1. Certificate in Laboratory Technology
The Certificate in Laboratory Technology trains students in medical laboratory procedures essential for disease diagnosis and treatment monitoring. Laboratory technicians play a vital role in identifying infections, analyzing samples, and supporting clinicians with accurate test results.
2. Certificate in Pharmacy
The Certificate in Pharmacy provides foundational knowledge in pharmaceutical care, drug dispensing, and medication management. Pharmacy assistants support pharmacists in ensuring patients receive safe and effective medications.
3. Diploma in Radiology
The Diploma in Radiology trains students in medical imaging techniques used to diagnose and monitor medical conditions. Radiographers operate X-ray, ultrasound, and other imaging equipment, producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
4. Diploma in Clinical Medicine
The Diploma in Clinical Medicine prepares students to serve as clinical officers, diagnosing and managing common medical conditions, providing emergency care, and supporting physicians in hospital and community settings. Clinical officers are essential providers in Uganda’s health system, particularly in rural areas where doctors are scarce.
